Long overdue update! It took a really long while to convert the codebase to C, and then many more backend changes were made, so I had nothing to show for it. But now I do have some changes worth showing!

First, the menus were overhauled, and are coded to be a 9-patch now! I got this idea in a video by One Lone Coder on youtube, which I then implemented in C. The 9-patch approach is just better design, and is also easier to create assets for. Win-Win!
Next, following the implementation of new Events, Game states and substates, it has been possible to implement a “Follow the Cursor” type of thing for the selected friendly units! Yay progress!
